studio van dijke is an object design studio run by Irene van Dijke (28-10-2000)

Irene positions her practice at the intersection of sculpture and applied arts, aiming to reimagine the role of design beyond utility or aesthetics. She designs to create sense; objects that are noticed, understood, and felt. When used but also when not in use.

She creates through shape. Challenging how our perception of an object changes, through changing its form. Her process is driven by engagement with various physical materials, allowing form to lead and material to follow. 

Constructing objects that reshape perception and invite a renewed sensitivity to the designed world.
